There are plenty of way to use Essential Oils in the kitchen but sometimes it’s a bit difficult figuring out just what dishes or desserts to use a new, lesser known Essential Oil in. Desserts are usually the easiest to incorporate Essential Oils in to by just adding a drop two to your tried and true favorite recipes but let’s talk a bit about a little lesser known cooking idea first!
BEEF OR PORK RUB RECIPE
• 1 tsp. Pink Himalayan Salt
• 1/2 tsp. Paprika
• 1 Garlic Clove, minced
• 1 drop Oregano Essential Oil
• 1 drop Rosemary Essential Oil
• 1 drop Fennel Essential Oil
• 2 drops CLEMENTINE Essential Oil
Mix all ingredients together well and allow to sit for two to three minutes before rubbing on to meat. Rub mixture on to meat and allow to rest for 5-10 minutes before grilling or broiling.
CHICKEN OR FISH MARINADE RECIPE
• 3 drops CLEMENTINE Essential Oil
• 2 drops Lemon Essential Oil
• 1 drop Ginger Essential Oil
• 2 tbsp. Lemon Juice
• 1 tbsp. finely chopped onion
• 3/4 c. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
• 1/2 c. Soy Sauce
Combine all ingredients, stirring will to ensure all ingredients are combined thoroughly. For a lighter flavor allow meat to marinate for two to four hours before cooking, for a fuller, richer flavor allow meat to marinate at least eight hours or overnight. Depending on the flavor level you are trying to achieve, marinating time can be for as long as 24 hours to allow the marinate to fully penetrate the meat.
And finally, what dinner is complete without a salad? But do you reach for a preservative laden commercial brand or make one of you own using ingredients you trust to be natural and good for you and your family? Tired of the same old salad dressing? Give this salad dressing recipe a try!
